This is an introductory course to Sesam focusing on the concept modelling, structural analysis, and results presentation features for steel offshore structure. Participants will learn effective ways and techniques on how to perform basic modelling in GeniE, creating basic load cases in GeniE, run static analysis using Sestra, and performing code check in GeniE.

Learning scope

The following topics will be covered:

  • Use the concept modelling technique of Sesam to create finite element (FE) models
  • Create basic load cases 
  • Run static analysis
  • Perform member code check 
  • Present results and save report 
  • Tips and tricks in using GeniE

Target group

Structural Engineers who are new to Sesam Suite and would like to perform design engineering of fixed and floating offshore structures built up of beams and plates.
