DNVは日本郵船（株）グループのSAGA SHIPHOLDING(NORWAY) ASが保有するシリーズ船20隻の香港シップリサイクル条約に基づく有害物質インベントリーPart 1のDNVエキスパートによる作成を比較的短期間で終了しました。
日本郵船（株）とDNVは2009年に35隻の現存船舶のインベントリー作成に関して包括的な合意に達していましたが、今回はその包括的合意の一部が実施されました。日本郵船（株）と船舶管理会社は本シリーズ船のPart 1インベントリーを昨年夏から年末までの間に作成する方針を立てました。それに応えてDNVは、組織内のネットワークを活用することにより、ヨーロッパ、中国、日本の各寄港地やドライドック或いは航海中の船上で、時間と場所に応じてノルウェー、フランス、英国、シンガポールや日本から最適のエキスパートを指名し本船調査とサンプリングを行ない、その解析結果を取りまとめて報告書を作成しました。2月初旬に最終の船の報告書を提出したことによってこれら一連の業務を終了することができました。
現在、それらの船の香港シップリサイクル条約に対する適合ステートメント(Statement of Compliance, SoC)を発行すべく船舶管理会社とDNVの承認部門が準備を進めているところです。
このようにDNVのダイナミズムを発揮することによって短期間に集中的かつグローバルに業務を遂行することができたのは、ひとえに日本郵船（株）及び船舶管理会社のご支援とご協力の賜物と感謝しています。
NYK and DNV established the frame agreement on IHM Part 1 survey of 35 existing vessels in 2009. These 20 vessels are a part of the frame agreement. NYK and Ship Management Company in charge have made a policy to prepare the Inventory Part 1 for those vessels from last summer until the end of the last year. Mobilizing the network within DNV, the surveys took place in Europe, China and Japan at its various ports, dry-dock and even during voyage. According to time and place of IHM Part 1 survey, DNV appointed a right EXPERT from Norway, France, UK, Singapore or Japan who proceeded all the tasks from preparation, planning, on board survey with visual and sampling check, analysis of sample and reporting. The last report was submitted in early February, marking the end of the commission laid down to DNV.
The next step of issuing Statement of Compliance to the Hong Kong Convention is underway between the ship management company and DNV responsible approval unit.
The dynamism of DNV could make such intensive activity completed within a relatively short time. We thank NYK and the ship management company for giving us an opportunity and cooperation.
