Description
This is an advanced GeniE course focusing on how to
- do many analyses including code check runs for each analysis
- perform step analyses or incremental build analysis
- create a GeniE model, include it in a superelement analysis and import the results back into the GeniE model for subsequent post-processing
- create finite element models for parts of a GeniE model
- work with different boundary conditions
- work with dynamic sets
- use the rigid support link for coupling between end of a beam to a shell/plate or many beams
- use of the connection point management
- use the script language to make own functions, parametric models or import data from other sources like e.g. Excel spreadsheets (typically offset tables)
- create models based on data from other CAE systems or CAD data in form of XML or SAT
- deal with model problems as identified by GeniE’s own verification tool
Learning objectives
Learn how to be more efficient by utilizing the advanced functions of GeniE and its scripting language.
Target group
Structural engineers who want to learn more than the basic functionality of GeniE
| Prerequisite SE-01 Concept based FE modelling and analysis using GeniE - Introductory and preferably SE-04 Concept based FE modelling of shell structures - Advanced. |
