Environmentally conscious product design

The Taiwanese company ASUS, a global player within the information technology industry sector, has received the EuP certificate. The EuP certificate, concerning environmentally conscious design of products, was for their Notebook N series.

All products have some impact on the environment, which may occur at any or all stages of the product’s life cycle; raw material acquisition, manufacture, distribution, use and disposal. The emerging legislation in this field, EuP being one of them, is now focusing on products more than on the production.
