DNV gears up for expansion in Vietnam
Stating its intention to strengthen its leading position in Vietnam, DNV plans to undertake an expansion in the recruitment of surveyors.

Recognising the importance of the maritime industry in supporting the country’s fast-growing economy, DNV is committed to further developing Vietnam’s shipbuilding industry through a three-year training programme for 1,200 Vinashin shipyard management and staff.
“DNV has a substantial presence in Vietnam and is working with all the major yards,” says Ragnar Hansen, DNV Maritime’s regional manager for South East Asia. “As Vietnamese ambition chases more orders, DNV will beef up its resources.
The Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) is aiming to be the fourth largest shipbuilder in the world by 2015.
