CO2削減4%へ、機関の最適調整で
エネルギーオーディットがDNVの協力で主機、補機及び荷役装置の作動性能を計測、新造時の性能と比較分析することによって実施された。
三光汽船は安全運航推進と有害物質排出削減のため船員のスキルアップと機器類のパフォーマンス向上を図っているが、その一環として最近VLCC “SANKO UNITY”においてエネルギー オーディットを実施、主機・補機及び荷役装置類の最適調整のみでCO2を４％削減することが可能であることがわかった。
エネルギー オーディットはシンガポールから韓国までの航海中にＤＮＶの協力で主機、補機及び荷役装置の作動性能を計測、新造時の性能と比較分析することによって実施された。
その結果、その機器類を最適状態に調整することで特別な設備投資をしなくてもCO2を約４％削減できることがわかった。
シップ エネルギー オーディット(SEA)はDNVのCondition Assessment Program (CAP)をベースにDNVが開発した｡ なおCAPは、詳細な検査や機能/性能テスト、板厚計測及び強度計算に基づいて船の実際のコンディションを徹底的に実証評価するサービスである。1989年にDNVによって開発導入され今日では船の状態を評価する最善の方法としてよく知られている。
三光汽船はDNVの勧告案をいくつか”SANKO UNITY”に適用、継続的に燃料消費量をモニターし、結果がよければ他の船でもエネルギー オーディットを実施することを計画している。

Reduction of CO2 emission by 4% as a result of optimizing machinery performance
In order to promote safe operation and emission reduction,SANKO LINEis keeping up seafarers’ skill and machinery performance. As a part of their actions, SANKO LINE has recently carriedout Energy Audit on board a VLCC “SANKO UNITY” and proved that the reduction of CO2 emission by 4 % was expected with only optimization of machinery performance.
The on board energy audit has been carried out during the voyage from Singapore to Korea in cooperation with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) where the performance of the Main Engine, Auxiliary Machineries and Cargo Gears were measured and assessed in comparison with when the ship was built.
The result shows that reduction of CO2 emission by 4 % is achievable by optimization of those machineries close to their new conditions without any new investment.
The Ship Energy Audit methodology has been developed by Det Norske Veritas based on DNV's Condition Assessment Program (CAP). CAP is an independent and thorough verification of the actual condition of a vessel, based upon detailed inspection and function/performance testing, thickness measurements and strength calculation. This service was introduced by DNV in 1989 and is a well known service and today's best quality tool for assessing the condition of a vessel.
SANKO LINE implements some of the recommendations proposed by DNV and continues monitoring the fuel consumption on board “SANKO UNITY”, and plans to extend Energy Audit to other vessels.
